14 August @ Siloso Beach, Sentosa - US rock band Hoobastank took Singapore by storm when they performed for a memorable one-night gig at Sentosa.

The boys (Doug Robb, Dan Estrin, Chris Hesse and Markku Lappalainen) charmed the crowd with their down-to-earth personalities, and their 70-min performance which had the crowd dancing, and asking for more.

Performing in Singapore for the second time, band member Hesse commented that he loved Singapore for its well kept and orderliness, while Estrin remembered the Singapore crowd for its enthusiastic response and support.

That evening, Hoobastank opened the show with Out of Control, their first hit from their second album, The Reason. They also sang popular numbers like Same Direction, Running Away and Crawling in the Dark. The crowd went wild when the first few strums of The Reason sounded, and the concert peaked when Doug went topless mid-set, revealing abs worthy of a Calvin Klein model.

Some 2,800 supporters, some having come from Malaysia and as far as Indonesia attended the session, and were seen head-banging and swaying to the beat of the music throughout the evening.
