Langkawi
A sophisticated yet tranquil resort, arguably one of the best in Asia, featuring
white sandy beaches and undisturbed tropical forests. Langkawi is the largest of
an archipelago of 99 islands in the Andaman Sea, and is the perfect 'get away
from it all resort'. A boat journey through the mangrove trails, which fringe
parts of the island, provides an unforgettable opportunity to see long-tailed
macaque monkeys, crocodiles, sea eagle and giant sea turtles. In addition trips
to the coral island of Pulau Payar allows even the most timid swimmer the chance
to experience a multi-coloured abundance of tropical fish.
