Mt. Tai
Mount Tai is located in the middle of Shandong Province and stretching into the sea, the magnificent range is over 656 thousand feet. With the Yellow River flowing at the foot of its northern slopes, it has been regarded as the first of the five sacred mountains in ancient China for its majestic heights and beautiful landscape. Jade Emperor Peak is five thousand feet above sea level and is known as the Celestial Pillar, which is the summit of Mount Tai. Mount Tai was deified by the feudal rulers of various dynasties and given the title of the "Divine Emperor of the East Peak". From the First Emperor of the Qin Dynasty down to Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, many personally visited Mount Tai to attend grand sacrificial ceremonies. In addition, not only emperors, but also poets and scholars were fond of coming to this sacred mountain, and left behind countless inscriptions engraved on rocks and stones. Mount Tai is like a vast museum of history, guarding tremendous secrets of oriental civilization, which are representative of the creative wisdom of the ancient Chinese people.

The Confucius' Temple
Confucius' Temple is located in the center of the old city of Qufu. Historically, this temple was used for people to worship to Confucius, the philosopher, educator and politician. Now the temple has become a historic site. In 478 BC, after Confucius's death, Lu Aigong, King of Zhou, changed the three rooms of his residence into a temple. After the Western Han Dynasty, the temple was rebuilt, renovated and expanded many times over, and has now become a large architectural complex. Confucius' Temple was completed during the Ming and Qing dynasties. There are 54 archways, 466 rooms and many halls, pavilions and chambers. Encircling the complex is a wall with watchtowers on each corner. There are more than 2,000 tablets of various kinds. These well-preserved tablets are very rare and are renowned both at home and abroad, attracting thousands of tourists to visit and worship.

Thousand Buddha Hill
Thousand Buddha Hill is also known as Qianfo Shan, one of the three major tourist destinations in Jinan. It is located about 1.5 miles southeast of the city. Buddhism flourished in Shandong Province during the reign of Kaihuang (581-600) of the Sui Dynasty (581-618). Many monasteries were built in the area of Mount Lishan and numerous images of Buddha were carved into the rocky cliffs. Huangshi Ya (Yellowstone Cliff) and Jueshan (Mount Jueshan) are located at the south and east respectively.

Liu Bu
Liu Bu is located about 20 miles from Jinan. Liu Bu is nestled in the green wooded hills south of Jinan and is now famous throughout the country. Liu Bu means "Willow Port." At one time many pavilions, towers and monasteries dotted the landscape, but many of these have been lost to time. However, a number of notable buildings still remain, among which is the Four-Door Tower, the Thousand-Buddha Pagoda, the Dragon Tiger Tower and the Nine-Spire Pagoda.

Jinan is the capital of Shandong Province on the East Coast of China. Jinan has jurisdiction over five districts: Lixia, Licheng, Huaiyin, Tianqiao and Shizhong, four counties: Changqing, Pingyin, Shanghe, Jiyang and Zhangqiu City.

It covers an area of 3,176 square miles with a population of 5.49 million. Jinan is located in the western part of Shandong Province. Jinan is also the juncture of the Beijing-Shanghai and Qingdao-Jinan railways. Mount Tai is located at its south and the Yellow River at its north. Jinan has a continental monsoon climate and clear-cut seasonal change. Jinan has an average annual temperature of 57 degrees Fahrenheit. Due to its long history, the State Council designated Jinan as a famous historical and cultural city. As Jinan boasts a number of natural springs amid picturesque scenery, it is known as the "City of Springs." Most of the trees in Jinan are willows and a majority of the flowers are lotuses.
